Feather Falls Casino Hosting Big Band Sundays

  Feather Falls Casino in Oroville is hosting big band dances the first and third Sundays of the month from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free but you have to be 21 years or older to attend.

The Fabulous Swing Kings, from Chico, will be performing on Sunday, Oct. 2. Joining the Fabulous Swing Kings will be special guest, Garry Stevens, who was the boy singer with the Charlie Spivak band from 1941-1943 and with the Tex Beneke band from 1946 to 1948. 

The Skyliners, also from Chico, will be performing on Sunday 17.

Chico Performances Hosts All-Star Jazz Line Up For 2005-2006 Season

Chico Performances will host top-name jazz luminaries during its 2005-2006 concert season. All concerts are held at Laxson Auditorium on the campus of California State University, Chico, and begin at 7:30 p.m. All performances by the Chico State Jazz X-Press are at the Harlan Adams Theatre as noted.

Tickets for all performances may be purchased at the University Box Office at CSU, Chico. For telephone orders, call (530) 898-6333 Monday-Friday between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., and Saturday from 3 - 6 p.m. There is a $4 charge for telephone orders.

Glenn Miller Orchestra To Perform in Coos Bay, OR, For Nov. 2, 2005 Concert

The Glenn Miller Orchestra under the direction of Larry O'Brien, is slated to perform in concert on Nov. 2, 2005 at the Marshfield High School Auditorium in Coos Bay, OR, at 8 p.m. The Miller band's appearance is part of the "Little Ole Big Band By The Bay" 2005-2006 concert series for the North Bend-Coos Bay area.
